For Kamal Group, our association with JSW Steel goes back to the very beginning of JSW’s journey at Vijayanagar. Our relationship commenced when JSW’s Vijayanagar plant began its operations , laying the foundation for an association that has grown stronger with every passing year.
What began with steel has, over the years, evolved into a relationship spanning businesses, teams and generations—anchored in mutual trust, shared values and a commitment to growing together.
Growing Alongside JSW
As JSW expanded its presence and emerged as one of India’s leading industrial groups, Kamal Group had the privilege of growing alongside it in our markets.
Over the years, our association has extended beyond business transactions to customer development, market expansion, distribution, manufacturing and building the JSW brand across the region.
For Kamal Group, representing JSW has always carried a sense of responsibility. The relationship has been built not simply around selling steel, but around taking JSW closer to customers and creating a strong and dependable ecosystem in the markets we serve.
A Landmark Moment – India’s First JSW Shoppe
One of the defining milestones in this journey came on 4 December 2007, when India’s first JSW Shoppe was inaugurated at Kamal Trading Corporation .
The occasion was made particularly memorable by the presence of Shri Sajjan Jindal ji, Smt. Sangeeta Jindal ji and the senior management of JSW Steel .
For Kamal Group, this was much more than the inauguration of a retail outlet. It was a reflection of the confidence JSW placed in our organisation and a milestone in our shared objective of bringing the JSW brand closer to customers.
The photographs from that day remain an important part of our history and a reminder of a relationship that had already taken root and would continue to deepen over the decades that followed.
A Relationship Built by People
Behind every enduring institutional partnership are the people who nurture it.
Over the years, Kamal Group has had the privilege of working closely with leaders and teams across JSW. Our interactions with Shri Sajjan Jindal ji, Shri Parth Jindal ji, Shri Vinay Shroff ji, Shri Saji Samuel ji and several members of the JSW leadership and regional teams have strengthened the relationship at every stage.
Equally important has been the continuous support and engagement of the teams working closely with us in our markets, including Mr. Sanjay Almelkar, AVP – JSW Steel Ltd.; Mr. Somu Goudar, Head – South, Long Products; Mr. Athish Shashidhara, Hubli Branch Manager; and Mr. Mahesh Uppar, ASM – Flat Products.
As our relationship with the wider JSW ecosystem has expanded, we have also had the support of the JSW Cement team, including Mr. Mustafa Shakir, State Head – North Karnataka, JSW Cement, and Mr. Suraj from the JSW Cement Hubli Branch.
These relationships, built through years of working together on the ground, are an integral part of the larger Kamal Group–JSW story.
From Distribution to Manufacturing – Another Chapter Begins
The relationship has continued to evolve alongside Kamal Group’s own growth.
A significant new chapter was marked on *2 August 2025, with the inauguration of Kamal Met Tech Pvt. Ltd. at Belur Industrial Area, Belur. The photographs capture Team Kamal alongside Shri Parth Jindal ji and members of the JSW team at the occasion.
The inauguration was graced by Shri Parth Jindal ji and Mr. Hemang Oza, along with other distinguished guests, colleagues, and members of the JSW and Kamal teams.
For us, this milestone represented much more than the inauguration of another facility. It symbolised the evolution of a relationship—from distribution and market development to manufacturing and a broader industrial journey.
From partnering with JSW during the early days of the Vijayanagar plant, to inaugurating India’s first JSW Shoppe, and subsequently moving into new areas of manufacturing, every chapter has reinforced the strength and continuity of this association.

Through changing markets, new opportunities and generations of leadership, the relationship between JSW and Kamal Group has continued to evolve.
